I think there's a mental element to it in that we wouldn't have been playing so defeated in the second half. Hell we would've gone in to half with the lead. In addition you can loosen up the play calling when you have a lead so maybe we get some more first downs and let the D rest. Then less frustration and fewer stupid penalties. Just my take but I think there's a domino effect.
