I downloaded ffdshow from the link posted earlier in this thread, then Windows media player worked fine for me. I had problems with frequent stuttering on a PIII 1 GHz with 8 MB ATI video, but it plays fine on my Sempron 2500+ with onboard (32 MB) Unichrome graphics.

Video card graphics memory doesn't affect at all the decoding of h264 video. System RAM and CPU horsepower are the primary factors.

Don't look to be playing any of the aforementioned videos back on your XBOX. :dis:

A video encoded in .h264 as a standard Mpeg 4 file (not a quicktime .mov) should play fine on a 360 through media center. Just make sure the PC that has the file is hard-wired onto the network, MP4 doesnt do well over wi-fi.

It's not on the geaux zone. It ran fine with the latest version of VLC (check versiontracker). The only painless way i have been able to capture streaming video in windows media was to send it out to the DVD-R or DVR via S-video-- otherwise audio always seems to get out of sync.

VLC kicks ass. If it wont play it nothing will.

I grabbed all the games except the bowl game off of LSUSports.net. Just go to Temporary Internet Files, clear it out, then open a video from the site and let it play for a few minutes, close it, look in TIF again, and open the file in WMP. View the properties of the file and it will give you the url to the file. I used FlashGet to download them. They are all .wmv files.

I'm not very good at explaining things, but it pretty simple once you figure it out.
