My biggest concern isn't with the LB's as much as it is our safeties. Could Hunt do an adequate job? ....ehh...I think so--but it won't be in "All-Conference" fashion. I guess I'll feel better after seeing our safeties come out of our 2nd game--vs Arizona. And if they make it through a game against a well-known opponent without getting passed all over, then I'll be set.
I don't really know much about Peterson (is it David?). I saw that he was a senior but haven't heard a lot about him. Can someone give a quick rundown of his skills?
Well, here is what Nick said in the morning paper: YOUTH MOVEMENT: Saban gave notice to the world -- and his safeties -- that true freshmen Jessie Daniels of Breaux Bridge and LaRon Landry of Hahnville are earning their tickets to significant playing time. "I can just about promise you there will be two freshman safeties in that two deep," Saban said. "They can tackle, like to tackle and mix it up. "They don't know what they're doing right now, but you know me. The veteran guy knows what he's got to do, but the rookie doesn't, but the rookie's going to be better in five weeks. So we've got to take a chance on the rookie." That sounds like coachspeak for "Look for freshman starters at safety before the season ends."
