Of course you'll beat them. And the majority of voting writers will watch it on ESPN with the sound on, and be influenced by the hype machine. (earlier today, they billed the game as a "matchup of two coaching legends." When did Saban achieve "legend" status?)
Speaking of richardson.....did any of you guys watch the bama game? Eddie Lacy look like a manchild out there. He's going to be a very very good one. may end up being better than richardson.
Beating #16 MSU and #11 WVU will help LSU stay ranked in the top 1 or 2 spots. We play them both this month.
Week four will tell the tale. Alabama will have played its first ranked opponent and LSU will have played three of them on the road.
I had to post this somewhere. May as well be in this thread. Granny Holtz is back on ND's wagon since his son doesn't coach at Michigan. He picks ND over UM because the Irish were impressive and Michigan was not. He also feels ND can "go all the way". Mark May asked "all the way to what? A bowl?" Granny said "to the BCS". OK. Back to the rankings. Alabama is not ranked 3rd. Saban is ranked 3rd.
Almost all of LSU's 17 first-place votes came from Alabama, not Oklahoma. What is so special about Oklahoma?
I don't understand why people get so wrapped up in the AP poll. It doesn't count in the BCS rankings and is basically meaningless.
