Question: How many of JLs INTs came from 3rd and long?

    Perrilloux. :D

Seriously, all the Lee haters out there better get over it, because I think we'll be seeing him get significant PT if he continues to make progress, especially if Jefferson struggles in big games.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I'm just sayin'.

If you can't at least see that Lee has serious rocket of an arm, I'd have to question your understanding of football. Say what you will about his other capabilities, but the kid can flat-out fling it.

It would have made a quitter consider transfering. It would make a competitor consider competing.

And football is a competitive business. Players go up and down the depth chart at all positions, quarterback is no different. There are 85 men on the team and they can't all be starters all the time.

Jarret Lee knows better than anyone how quickly you can go from being buried on the depth chart to the go-to guy.

Yea the transfer talk has to slow down, the guy is competing, lets all hope he is game ready when called upon.

All true. But most athletes owe it to themselves and to their school to stick it out through their sophomore year at least and most transfer as juniors. Transferring as a freshman is just not giving yourself enough time to develop and be appreciated by your coaches and teammates.

Matt Flynn could have transferred, after backing up other quarterbacks for four years. But he stayed and competed and ended up being MVP of the National Championship game, something Russell never achieved. Competitiveness has its rewards.

I am surprised not much info came out about how well Shep did during the scrimmage this weekend. I talked to 2 guys who attended the scrimmage and they said he had the best day overall of any player.

He was passing, running, and catching all over the 1st and 2nd team defenses.

One of the sources told me he was just a gammer and way too valuable to keep off the field. He said he was a threat to score evey time the ball touched his hands. The other told me that he made a strong case as a future QB but he wouldn't be surprised if he is currently 3rd or 4th on the WR depth chart this year based on his performance in the scrimmage and in practices.

I can't wait to see how he is used this year and the progression over the next few years.
