Rivals and Scout articles - subscriber only, I guess. As I said in my post, I don't put too much stock into it other than to point out that Lee is competing, which is good for everyone. I'll quote a few things from the articles (or someone else can) when I have more time.
if it's the same picture that i saw on tigerrag (march 17,) he looked about the same to me. but it was hard to tell because he was in throwing position.
I guess my point was, I don't like the idea of passing the ball when it's 59-14 at the end of the 4th quarter, you know, just because you can. I'm on board with a good solid victory, but I like sportsmanship and blah blah blah...
Yea, but what if LSU was playing Tennessee and we were beating them 59-14 and Janzen Jackson was getting burned by our WRs for 15-20 yards a pop? You wouldn't want to see coach Lame Bitchin's face after each play and score? :thumb:.
yeah lets all not start marking down JJ as the starter because we all know miles pretty much does the opposite of what everyone else thinks. that being said, "miles is an IDIOT if he dosent start Jarett Lee" :hihi:
If he was going to transfer it would come after Spring practice. But with him in the thick of things it is doubtful.
Latest I'm reading from Rivals and Scout reports is that, while Lee remains marginally more polished in drills, JJ is looking SA-WEET as well. Miles seems VERY comfy with both sophomores, to the point that he's dedicating some practice time to letting Garrett and Shep fight out the #3 spot (my interpretation of Miles' words). Overall - I'd say LSU is looking very good from a practice standpoint at QB. Of course, Lee looked good last year in practice, too. So, we'll have to see if both these guys can translate their experience and competition into consistent SEC-caliber play. But it seems to me right now that JJ will keep the #1 spot until he either screws the pooch or Lee just catches on fire in some way. We should all hope Lee doesn't transfer. With him as a competitive and reliable #2, LSU is in awesome shape, similar to the J. Russell/M. Flynn pairing.
I wish I could agree, but Lee has to go. Sooner the better. I haven't seen that kind of carelessness with the ball in an LSU uniform since Jamie Howard.
For his benefit, I hope he transfers, for the team, I hope he stays. How many seasons in this decade has LSU gone through a season without a QB injury? I don't want to be forced into starting a true freshman quarterback midway through the season.
