And as red pointed out the other day, I think it would really be detrimental in shortening the length of sunlight the grass receives.
There are a lot of season ticket holders in the lower bowl who are tired of seeing gold-plated upper deck after upper deck go up while their dark, narrow ramps, crowded, poor concession areas, and dank bathrooms only get a coat of paint.
But they won't pay the high sideline surcharges. lower bowl fees are going to build upper decks, not improve the lower bowl.
I would think many of the upper deck ticket holders only have those because they couldn't get lower bowl tickets. Either way, if they get "tired" enough to let their tickets go someone will buy them. No one (admin) cares about lower bowl ticket holders' loyalty during the leaner years, this is about money.
Don't underestimate the LSU influence of the sideline ticket holders. Many of them are extremely fat cats, just not so ostentatious as the skyboxers.
Irrelevant. I'm going to ask the jury to disregard that comment as it has no bearing on this argument.
If we want to stay in the upper echelon of cfb we need to bring in as much money as possible, and that hours without talking about all of the other sports our fans are demanding we win championships in. We will end up with an upper deck in the endzone and new club seats and suites; we have to. And I will be happy when we have turf instead of a torn up field like I've been seeing the past several years even though they keep replacing it each off season.
