I agree. When I was at LSU, we'd play A&M or Notre Dame. I miss those kind of OOC matchups.

I see you've been drinking the koolaid our AD dept is peddling. They claim nobody wants to play in Tiger Stadium, but if you listen closely, you don't hear them offering a return trip. I don't blame those schools for not wanting to play here without a return trip.

I doubt many schools from a BCS conference would shy away from a home/away (ok, which is it home/home or home/away?) with LSU or any top SEC school.

I want to see LSU play anyone anywhere, but only as long as we get some return trips back to TS. There are way too many teams that puss out on us. It's the sole reason I can't wait to show those Hokie bastards what's up.

No sh!t. You can't expect something for nothing. But, I get mighty tired of hearing about USC and Arkansas. Arkansas seems to overachieve in SEC play for some reason. There is no reason in hell that a semi-decent SEC (or any conference for that matter) team should give up 70 points to anyone.

i was saying that in recent memory, i don't remember ohio st, wisc, mich, penn st, etc playing a home/home with a fla, uga, tenn, LSU, AU, bama. not just LSU. of course my memory started failing me at age 30.

if you've got an inside source in the Ath office then diregard my next statment, but i find it hard to believe that LSU would try to schedule guys like mich, OSU, penn st, and not offer a return trip. either:

    A) our AD office is truly afraid to play a big school so they offer a deal no one would take or...

    B) they have no idea what they're doing.

    man i hope its neither.

Actually, it's neither. They simply don't want to give up home games for financial reasons. They throw us a bone every few years with teams like VT, Arizona, Arizona St, etc., but they aren't aggressively going after home/away series against big name teams. It's pretty much been like this since we canceled the A&M series. And LSU isn't the only school doing this. I'm hoping a new AD will change this direction.

And no, Tulane is not a home/away series.:hihi:

That'd be wonderful. I was pulling so hard for a matchup in the Rose bowl with them last year. Close as we have come, these two teams have STILL never played in the same game.

I'd rather play Michigan than any other OOC opponent, including USC. They've got tons of history and prestige, and in my opinion, the best looking uniforms in football.

You wont see regular season Big 10 vs SEC match ups anytime soon because of the bowl tie in's we already have with the Big 10.

We played Ohio St. in a home/home series in 87/88.
