So I just want to say, I'm enjoying the first two games but we haven't seen how the team responds to competition. It's too early to get too excited.
well we are going to be more than competitive this season based purely on talent alone the question is Johnny Jones....does he get better as a coach and especially a game day coach? if he doesn't, it will be another underachieving season on the borderline of the NCAA and NIT tournaments....that should not happen this year....we shall see
That would be a bummer. How many times has LSU shriveled on the big stage in the big three sports the past few years?
of course he does. he will not meet your expectations for sure, so he, along w/CLM, CPM, the ladies B-ball coach, softball coach, track coach, and so on. can them all. NC or bust, baby.
dude, you are already speculating that CJJ may not do well enough w/the talent we have, and therefore will need to be canned. just sit back, watch the actual games, enjoy the players and wins, relax, and let the season play out. quit anticipating w/such negativity.
I already indicated that we should just enjoy the 1 season (hopefully 2 but not likely) of Simmons, as he is a special talent the likes we may never see again at LSU. And I think I already said "we shall see". I hope JJ improves as a game day coach as he has proved to be a top notch recruiter. So he's succeeding tremendously at the tough part of getting kids to come to a school not known for basketball (if we're being honest). This could be a special season.
Basketball is way too hard to win championships. Just make the tournament. Maybe you can go on a run.
