I really, REALLY like this club...

We have 2 bonafide stars in Baby and T-Time, and we have a legit guard to control things in D-Mitch...

Tasmin is the wildcard... If he can become consistent like an Antonio Hudson was for us in his freshman season, look out...

Obviously, things like foul trouble and injuries can change all of this in a 1 game season though

Teams with inconsistent guard play get slaughtered in the NCAAs, especially if they play a pressing, running team like...well, like last year's UAB team. Can you imagine how many turnovers LSU would have against a team that applies pressure full-court and has solid, quick, ball-hawking guards?

Other than that, I say LSU's in great shape for the NCAAs.

I've never liked a team more than this one. If we can keep this up, have less turnovers, and a little bit better outside shooting and free throw shooting, who knows what we could do. MAYBE John Brady can do something with this team.

Funny post. "Consistent" and "Antonio Hudson" are antonyms.

Polls, sagarin rating and such are nice to look at, but the real rating to keep an eye on is the RPI. That's what the selection committee looks at to help seed teams in the tourney.

LSU made a huge jump the last couple of weeks, going from 92 to 45. LSU has a strong SOS at 16.

    is that THE rpi?

seems like a joke to me with Missouri St and Xavier ahead of us.

Yes, it's the real thing. I use to look at collegerpi.com., but it doesn't update regularly. They haven't updated since last Sunday and LSU is at 92.

    This site updates daily...

If we end up beating Mississippi State and Alabama, we can maybe slip into the Top 25 or maybe be 26th or so.
