Hoping the Tigers can get off to a good start to build a little buzz. I'm planning to check them out on Nov 29th in Houston and hoping the Tiger fans can outnumber the UH fans.
I'm there. As much as I love football, basketball was my first sports love. Excited to see this year's team.
Can't wait! Let's geaux Tigers! The road back to the postseason starts here. Might not happen this season but I fully expect us to head towards that direction. We are stronger, faster and deeper. We have scorers, we have defenders, we have rebounders and we have bangers. For the first time in three years, I feel like we are playing with a full roster. Might not be a great team in 2011-12 but they will at the least be a team we can take pride in. I'm thinking the starting lineup for tomorrow is: Hickey Stringer Turner Warren Hamilton Has anyone heard any different?
I think this is it. I think Trent will want to play fast and defend full court some today, and Hickey puts them in the best position to do this. Game time soon, folks. TODAY! Welcome to the excitement of college hoops. With the NBA lockout looming, the college game is where you can watch hoops this season. And the parity of the game is amazing ... Duke almost loses at home last night against Belmont? Belmont Bruins vs. Duke Blue Devils - Recap - November 11, 2011 - ESPN
Some good hustle plays, but very sluggish D in the 1st half. They let Nicholls' guards kick out to perimeter shooters way too much.
That's true but give Nicky some credit. Those 3's are gonna quit falling here in a few. Well i hope they stop falling. LOL
I don't know what folks expected here, but a 22 point win, 96-74 is a nice bit of revenge and a W. I would guess folks didn't expect the Tigers to score almost 100 points. Probably defense could have been better, but some solid games from the freshmen has to give them some confidence. The keys to success this year will be beating the folks that they should beat and stealing a few from folks they shouldn't beat. That should equate to a nice solid season....
I didn't go, but from what I heard on the radio, Nicholls had a small lineup and using that to their advantage. They were knocking down 3s on the baseline because the LSU bigs couldn't get out their to guard them.
