I'll use this opportunity to as a question that hopefully one of you, Red55, can answer. I just got on the season ticket waiting list this year. How long do you figure before I get tix?

This is an effing great schedule. Last year our four toughest SEC games were all on the road and we split them. This year they are all at home (Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina). Not only are our chances greatly improved, but our home fans will see some great football.

Our road schedule is winnable (State, Tulane, Kentucky, Alabama, Ole Miss). Our home out-of-conference schedule is winnable and features a potential Top-10 team (Virginia Tech, Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech).

We begin the season with the college football opener and follow with a major intersectional matchup the following week, both on national TV. If we win those, all eyes will be on LSU for the rest of the season. There will be no flying under the radar for LSU this season. We play five or six potential top-25 teams and only two OOC patsies.

This is a schedule made for a championship run.

I'm not the best one to answer that but I'd say don't count on getting 'em. LSU tickets aren't going to be easy to obtain this fall. :bncry:

Get a big screen tv with surround sound, crank it up, and that may have to suffice brutha. At least you won't have to hide your alcohol and the line for the bathroom won't be long. :hihi:

Yeah, I know not this fall. :bncry: Especially since the home games are going to be awesome. But, generally is it 2 seasons? 5?

Yes, they keep you on the list 2 seasons, at least, that's what I've read here a while back.

I don't have a clue, Amigo, I've had my tix for 27 years. But I don't expect many season ticket holders will be giving them up. You might try the TAF, they hold a ton of tickets and require a "donation" that is higher than the athletic department's "tradition fund". The difference is that you can buy your way up the priority list. And it may not be as unaffordable as you fear. It won't hurt to ask them. A good friend of mine got her tickets this way when she returned to Louisiana a few years ago. She has a damn good job and no kids, but she's not a millionaire or anything.

I'm looking to get 4 for ANY SEC games next year. I listen to "Tradio" and pick some up there when people, locally, end up not being able to go for some reason.

Other times, people in the communities on both sides of where I live (I'm in the country :hihi: ) let me buy their tic. when they can't go. The advocate has some from time to time too.

The only bad thing with how I get them is I sometimes don't know if I'll be able to go until a day or two before and I love having tics in hand ahead of time......the anticipation is part of the fun.

The opponents will be challenging, for damn sure. But the schedule is favorable with our toughest SEC games at home, a winnable road schedule, and a tough OOC opponent which will help our strength-of-schedule . . . and we've got them at home, too.

While we would be in the NC if we came out of this schedule unscathed. It is hard to look at any team and realistically say they will come out unscathed. It's good that we got that MSU warm up game before VT which will be a very hard game either way. Also good is that all of our tough games are spread out with the exception of Auburn Alabama back to back.

I can't say I don't feel the same but it also worries me for the same reason- hope we don't get caught looking ahead and overlook this game. :thumb:
