Mount Rushmore was built to honor Americans who had the most impact on American lives. Washington and Jefferson were logical picks, Roosevelt and Lincoln were politcal picks and IMO shouldn't have been included. Lincoln had a big impact as one was one of the main reasons so many American lives were lost in the Civil War, but he shouldn't have been honored for it. Roosevelt was honored as the latter day heroe, such as putting players from last year's NC team would be. I think Mt Rushmore should have had GW, TJ and 2 more of the founding fathers instead of AL and TR. The LSU Rushmore for athletics should have had the guys who were the cornerstones of building the program that has become what we have today. And I don't have the time at the moment to research that. Any of you guys have any thoughts along the lines of who were the brick layers in LSU athletics history. Maybe a Doc Fenton, Gaynell Tinsley, Bernie Moore, etc. Who else?
