They were probably Cowboys fans from Shreveport. Nothing new, lets move on.

A poor winner, who is also your boss, is worse....:yelwink2:

I condemn that behavior as well. And not to justify bad behavior with bad behavior, and not that it is apples-to-apples in terms of comparison, but Saints fans were absolutely brutalized in Seattle for the playoff game in January. I saw it myself and heard of numerous complaints in the PNW, the west coast at large, and by folks calling into WWL 870 to discuss their experience in Seattle.

All of this speaks poorly for some of the "winning fans". I mean, you won, what the hell more do you want? Show some class and move on to the next game or thing. Jeez.

I'll admit that had I been around UO fans during the game, I would have given them absolute hell after the win just because they booed our injured players. UO is trash for that and always will be to me.

The people I saw were a mix of young and old but it was a disturbing example of mob mentality. No matter which way you cut it, it's a shame. I was embarrassed. Came close to having to intervene but that would have only inflamed the situation

I did intervene during the 2004 Sugar Bowl when LSU fan outnumbered OU fan something like 100 to 1 in the city. I didn't see F bombs and beer throwing at that event, but I saw encircled taunting. I am no OU fan, but those people didn't deserve that, so I got involved and things worked out. Maybe I was just lucky. Even if you don't get physically involved, I think people should speak up as a group in this situation and state their disapproval. This peer pressure could cause the offenders to stop, hopefully. This is what impressed me in Seattle. Seemingly, no one stepped in to restrain their fellow fan who was taunting innocent women and children after the Seahawks had won the game.

Speaks poorly of sportsmanship. WTF is wrong with us?

I don't particularly care for UO fan and I happen to have an ax to grind with the state of Oregon in general, but I would not engage in that kind of behavior. It simply isn't worth it. The result on the field speaks much more to the situation than anything we might say to some fan.

All true. My family was there and said they had never been treated the way they were treated in Seattle. The worst sports experience ever.

It was so bad for us, that me and my boy will never go to a Saints game in Seattle again. The only place I'll watch the Saints out here is SD and SF - for now. Not sure what I'd do if the Tigers went to Washington. I'd like to think I'd give it a shot. The NFL is obviously different than college football, right? Right? :(
