here are some other quotes from the TP article a couple days ago talking about how Bolden is fitting in: Bolden made a good first impression on his new teammates. "He's a great guy," said LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger. "You can tell he's really smart. ... I'm looking forward to working with him. This team has really embraced him with open arms. He's part of the family now." Said offensive tackle Chris Faulk: "He's a great guy. He looks like he works hard. He's trying to learn the plays in a short amount of time. He looks like he's ready to play." Bolden looked bigger than his 6-foot-4, 214-pound roster listing during the individual passing drill portion of the practice open to the media. The LSU coaching staff isn't speeding up Bolden's learning curve, nor is he being brought along slowly. "It's obvious he has some experience, knows how to handle a huddle, knows what to expect," Miles said. "You want to give him the whole playbook and see how he plays the plays." Mettenberger said: "I told (Bolden) last night if you ever need anything, come to me. Me and Coach Kragthorpe and Coach Stud (offensive coordinator Greg Studrawa) know this offense better than anyone." Said wide receiver Russell Shepard: "He's going to be good for this team. He brings more leadership. ... He's very mature. ... I'm very impressed with him."
I'm really glad to hear that because I was a skeptic in the beginning and was wondering why we needed him.
You were talking Bolden right...and not your guy Russell Shepard with that comment. Your prediction of 40 catches for RS is still a BOLD prediction without a doubt. The big years I have seen predicted for LSU WRs in 2012 have been for Beckham, Landry, and Wright. DandyDon's son today just predicted Landry and Wright as his choices. Getting Bolden without even having to use a scholarship for a guy...easy decision. Of course he would count against fall 2013 total if he is still at LSU. LSU is in a huge numbers crunch for 2013 signing 22+ in Feb 2013 and only have 10 scholarship seniors. Of course some early NFL draft guys will reduce the numbers some but expect a pretty good exodus of underclassmen after this season NOT related to the NFL draft.
I, like many here, value your posts, appreciate your contributions to the forum, sincerely hope that you continue to be a regular poster and am one of the posters who has enjoyed a "back a forth" with you I wish that there was a PM option here, but if there is one, I don't know how to use it. Anyway, Milesthebest --- I hope that you accept this as a friend... >>> Long paragraphs are hard to read; >>> Don't take criticism personally (including this post). If it makes sense to you, use it, otherwise ignore it. Turning the other cheek, especially for one as knowlegable as you, will make a lot more friends than enemies. >>> ALL CAPS ARE HARD TO READ AND SHOULD BE BANNED FOR ALL POSTERS. SOMEONE HAD AN IMAGE SHOWING A MOTHER SCOLDING HER CRYING KID WITH THE CAPTION "YOUR CAPS LOCK PRIVILDGES ARE REVOKED. SURE WOULD APPRECIATE THAT IMAGE BEING POSTED AGAIN AND IF THERE ARE ANY TYPOES IN THIS, ANY HLEP I CAN GET IS ALLWAYS APPRECIATED
Click the person's name that you want to PM. A box pops up. In that, click "start a conversation". That is the same as PM. One cool thing about it is that you can have up to 10 people as participants in a PM. Basically, it makes a private forum for that topic.
