I'm mostly worried about David Pollock setting up a residence in the LSU backfield making it uncomfortable for Mauck. The O-Line needs to live up to the hype.

He used to play for the Lakers back in the days when they had Magic and Kareem. Isn't he a little old to be playing college football? I hope the old geezer dosen't get hurt Saturday.

Au contraire mon fraire! (is that spelled correctly? :) )

The receiver that was WIDE open about 20 yards in front of Landry on the play should have been the intended receiver on that play. If the QB would not have been so greedy, then Landry would have been trying to tackle that guy on the 5 yard line. And just like every other time in that game, I swear, there was no one within 20 yards of that guy. If we don't fix this, we will be eaten alive.

Its not all up to the O Line. Tigers need to keep Kevin Steitz back to pick off anybody who breaks through the pass blocking or a blitzing linebacker or safety

Not so fast my friend. Don't you think Georgia needs to be concerned about how well their defense holds up against LSU? Be afraid. Be very afraid.

And Clayton is a county in Georgia just south of Atlanta...

The media in Atlanta has compared Cooper to Herschel Walker on several occasions and I never really paid much attention to the hype...

When Mark Richt made a comment on his post-game show yesterday about how Cooper looked similar to Walker during a few running plays and especially on a TD run, I took notice.

Blitzes are used to affect timing. If a QB is throwing the ball before a receiver can reach the area to catch the ball, then the blitz has done it's job.

IMO Saban/Jimbo have played to the competition. The O-line has been utilizing vanilla straight ahead blocking with nothing fancy thrown in. This ain't Dinardo/Hallman anymore.

Georgia's first string defense has given up 3 points in three games. No points in the red zone. The whole defensive secondary is back and with Ken Veal returning, it is as good a unit as last years defense.

I suspect that LSU will score two touchdowns on offense and maybe three, but will your defense keep Georgia to under 25 points?

You see, I figure that LSU will score around 23 or 24 points against the fastest defense they will see during the regular season.

Richt was the OC during a game where FSU came into Tiger Stadium. It was a close game but FSU prevailed.
    He knows what to expect.

It will be a, "who can stop who better," game within a game.

    My prediction is:

    Georgia 30 LSU 23

Well, I hope you are wrong Chip. Should be a very good game though.
