I'm not worried. Miss States defense is worse than LSU's and what has Mike Leach ever accomplished? His claim to fame is beating Texas that one time over a decade ago. Whether or not LSU wins this game falls squarely on the LSU coaching staff.
I think Kiner helps with that as will Goodwin. But if teams keep loading the box with blitz looks like they have all year, stick with the pass. Take what they give. Once we back them up Kiner is going to breakout. TDP needs to go find his seat right next to Jaray Jenkins.
Yes CMU is not Bama but the points they scored were on 2 busted coverages and a pick 6. Not good of course but in the last 2 games neither McNeese nor CMU scored on a sustained drive against us. Take away those busted coverages and we are a big time D. A great D will give us a chance to win every game. CMU is not chopped liver this was a good win and at no point were we in jeopardy of losing that game. Both O and this team is better than they are given credit for. Every team in the SEC will have one SEC loss with the possible exception of Bama or Georgia and so will we. 9-3 would be a good year for us 10-2 great 11-1 fabulous but any of the 3 could happen if we stay healthy. Our D is not only much better than MSU's it's much better than all others but maybe Georgia's and Bama's but let's just say I wouldn't trade one of our players for one of theirs. Shock and awe for MSU this weekend.
