  1. Looks like tigerjohn err i mean scrap is trying out his monday show material a couple days early. We can look forward to 60 minutes of "I told you they wouldn't go undefeated in sec play" and "they can't when when ranked".

ALWAYS looking, poking, turning over every stone for a negative. The team played good ball today and were a 3 pt favorite. Tough loss but an outstanding game to watch. 7-1, STILL first in the west and tied for the overall lead, actually ahead since they win any tiebreaker with tenn(up to this point of the season)

Please go back and do some homework. In the 8 sec games thus far the tigers have been favored by the point spread in atleast 6 and they have won all but the one today.

The game could have gone either way and was tight the entire way. LSU came back from 5 down twice but couldn;t quite get it done at the end. Maybe an adjustment to the box and 1 should have taken place earlier, whos to say if the outcome would be different. I think one of the big keys was when the tigers went cold for 3 consecutive possessions at about the 7 minute mark or so. They were up by 1 or 2 and had a defensive stop at bamas end, came down and had a soft 2 by davis under the goal rattle out, back to bama another stop/t.o and lsu has another 2, this one by thomas rattle out and back to bamas end and another to but this time d.mitch has a 3 rattle out. all 3 shots looked and felt like winners when they went up but just narrowly rim out. that would have put them up by 8 or 9 and killed the crowd and thrown alot of mo lsu's way.

It's clear scrap isn't a fan and truly wants them to lose or play bad when they win. It's really the only way he can talk about them.
the team played hard all day. Another battle comes in a few days. This team will only get better as time goes on and sooner than later some folks will have to jump on the baseball bandwagon for their negative lsu commentary.
  2. Do you know what rankings do? All rankings do is boost players and teams head up and make them think they can come in and beat anyone. Also, it gives some extra motivation to the other team to knock off the big boys. If that team with the big head thinks they can waltz in and take care of the unranked team and you combine that with that fire and determination of the unranked team, you get a lot of losses by the big boys. So it does have something to do with the rankings.
  3. This years team and how their w-l record have NOTHING to do with last years and will have nothing to do with next years. If a person digs he can find a stat to back anything he wants to spew.
  4. todays loss had nothing to do with rankings. Christ do you honestly those guys think a 24 ranking in 1 poll makes them world beaters? Bama's motivation came for the loss they took a few weeks ago, not lsu's rankings. Brady and bamas coach play eachother tough. they have played 16 gmaes and are 8-8..

dig for something of more substance scrapster.
  5. oook Scott, Paul whoever I'm not trying to knock the Tigers. I dont know about you but I was at every game last year cheering just like other Tiger fans. Having said that, its common knowledge that LSU seems to lose when ranked. Does that make them a bad team? NO! It doesnt take a freaking rocket scientist to know they werent going to go undefeated. I'm not going to make that sound like Im some sort of genious for saying it. I just think those people who thought they would were looking through some very purple and gold glasses. You know damn good and well that I support Tiger Basketball. I hate to say it, but when a team loses, I think its ok to look at some negative. They lost so obviously there was something negative out there. Are they 7-1? yes...are they the best team in the West? Yes! All I'm saying is when they are ranked, something happens. Whether it is on LSU's side or the visitors side I dont know, but whatever it is, LSU doesnt get it done when they get the attention. So please have your rubtle ready and paint me out to be a bad guy again...ready go..
  6. Enlighten us. What ranked teams have you played on in order to gain this awesome insight?

If you are correct, every top 20 team would lose every time out.
  7. so its all a coincidence?
  8. Not really. There were more red headed women in the stands than there were for our 7 wins. That could have something to do with it. Also, my dog slept facing the wall last night. Whenever she does that, LSU loses.
  9. No, you see all the good teams that know how to play when they are ranked win ball games, Brady's teams seem to play poor when they are ranked. I make a simple observation and you turn me into some kind of villain here.
  10. Not a villian. Just confused. Here's a clue since you go to a lot of games. Check out how the teams play.
