    I doubt cutting deadwood would be easy at a state run university. It is sad to hear, though. Really, though, is it much better elsewhere? And Red, I take it that you are unhappy with Jindal?

    If Jindal had a fist fight with the Ayatollah, I'd pull for the Ayatollah.

    How long will it be before athletic department funds start making their way into the general university fund?

    In our business we are already seeing it at the high school and small college level. Its not everywhere but some athletic departments have lost autonomy as their budgets are now administrated by the bean counters. I think its likely to filter up the line to larger university's.

    The Athletic Department already contributes to the LSU general fund.

    I'm sad because I'm hoping to send my son to LSU for a good education in 3 years.
