Uh, Fishhead, does that mean it doesn't really matter which LSU shirt I wear while watching the game? What about socks? Pants? I mean, I've always believed that I was doing my part by dressing right....

Probably means my pregame meal routine is pointless, too.

    OMG.

Suddenly I feel so insecure. So helpless. So...well.....useless.

Virginia Tech is about as predictable as a Hurricane. Our key to success is for our Defense to smother the VT QB and running game. If our Offense makes no mistakes it should be a decisive win for LSU.

whether either team brings their A game will be seen on saturday. one thing i do know is that the fans will bring it.
this game's atmosphere is going to be like nothing we've seen in a while. definitely not last year, probably not in '05 although AU and Fla were great and tenn was a special game.
no, this will be more like UGA in '03. tenn in '00. fla in '97. i'm friggin pumped.

Now hold on a minute...I didn't say that! I said "by talking about it"! I wouldn't go messin' around with sacred things like pre-game meals and gameday wardrobes...that's just taking things too far!

I will agree with the 34-10. I think our O will easily put up 30 on vt's D. I also think VT will have a very very very hard time scoring. 10 points might be too optimistic even.

Plus the game is in tiger stadium.. we are going to absolutely crush VT like nobodies business. Look at the ND game last season. From watching the teams it was apparently we were going to demolish them yet a lot of people were still timid about saying so and gave ND too much credit.

VT has to be a bit concerned about their D giving up almost 150 yards rushing, mostly on QB runs out of the shotgun. I'm sure we'll test this early in the game with Flynn. LSU has to be worried about their Oline. It won't matter if we open up the playbook if they can't block anyone.

Both teams will play better in this game. The question is who will improve more from game one? If our Oline can get it together, I think we'll win handily. I don't see VT scoring more than 10 against our D.

Dude . . . both teams are going to be a whole lot better than in their opening game. VT's defense has been ranked #1 for the last two years and we'll be very fortunate to post 30 points on them.

    I agree.

I am quite sure that Beamer has a few things up his sleeve for LSU. I don't think that VT overlooked ECU, but they simply didn't bring their best effort on offense.

And in spite of a crappy offensive showing, the VT defense still only gave up one TD and was in the mix for scoring a TD.

I believe that LSU has the ability to win big over VT, but that doesn't mean it will happen. Considering that this is supposed to be a defensive battle, we will try to eliminate turnovers & play conservatively.

If you thought that we hid parts of the playbook in the Miss St game, don't think that we're suddenly going to unleash the whole thing. We'll still only show as much as we have to, IMO.

yeah, I think CParso's right. Miles and Crowton will ease into it.

But I'm not sure VT's defense is really all that. If the O-line can jell a bit, and stop with the penalties, we might be pleasantly surprised.
