everyone keeps saying how important it is to get a bye in the sect. why? id think if youre on the bubble its better to win a game or two than lose your first. and lsu hasnt won a sect since press was coach. the bigger reason to beat OM is to get a better record, rpi and top 50 win. id bet lsu is in with losses to om and arky and one sect win.
If we win ut and 1/2 of om & ua it might not matter what happens in the sect. If we win out, getting a bye in sect might make winning the whole thing a possibility. Btw, LSU bball has played hella D past couple games, w our opponents scrambling for a shot about 30s into the clock.
LSU now controls it's own destiny for a top 4 seed by winning out. We would be 2-0 vs Ole Miss and 1-0 vs Georgia, should we end in a 3 way tie for the 4 seed. A win over Ole Miss should get LSU plenty of votes in the polls and maybe a shot at a top 25 ranking (outside chance).
this will be a really tough game to win. OM is experienced and already lost to us this year. must defend the perimeter and rebound on D.
Bad shot selection, back to the offense not moving off the ball. Turnovers, at least 5 blown layups. It is not pretty.
