i don't think we missed patterson all that much. he might have hit an extra 3 or two but gray's D was as solid as jp's would have been. this is a good LSU team but soft. have to say though that martin has improved a lot with aggressiveness down low. mickey, though, damn, 1 defensive rebound? i know being a shot blocker will take away a few opportunities but epps had 2 def reb. mickey had 6 blocks too and had 10. hell, usc missed 40 shots----thats a lot of chances for a def reb. i think the lack of depth is a little overblown. for all the time the commentators talked about it last night, usc played 9 (with one only getting 2 min) and lsu played 7. really, the tigers have a solid 6 with 4 more or less interchangeable front court subs. next year 5- robinson, malone 4-simmons, victor, epps 3-quarterman 2-hornsby, blakeney, lyle/lott? 1-gray, patterson i'd bet the starting 5 is gray/patterson, hornsby, blakeney/quarterman, simmons, victor.
PF with the Bucks. only signed just before xmas. doing ok, playing 13 min/G. low FG% and doesn't rebound so either the bucks are hurting or he's solid on D.
If they are projected anywhere in the first round they are gone. In the NBA only first round contracts are guaranteed. Second round money is not guaranteed.
It would be ashame if they came out. Another year would help them both for sure. And if they stay, the Tigers could have a special season.
I think they can declare and then change their minds before a specified date as long as they don't hire an agent.
unfortunately, yes. kids with this talent dip their feet in the water one year and then gone the next. its a mistake, though. they both have MAJOR issues. martin's coaches should be shot for letting him have such a crappy stroke--gonna cost him $$$ and probably a career.
