UK fans are pretty upset. A few of the media guys are saying, depending on who comes back, next season could be a trip to the Final 4 for LSU.
Awesome!!! I had a feeling he would. I'm actually pretty excited about this year, but obviously with Simmons and Blakeney committing, the future is very bright. Jones seems to be doing his best DBrown recruiting imitation, pulling in two 5*s. If Gray is still here to dish those guys the ball, that would definitely be a final four team.
JJ has got some players and with the addition of the coaches, this program has jumped light years. Most can stop reading right here... Johnny Jones was hired by the AD at North Tx. When the AD was looking for a Basketball coach, he made a call to another guy he had coached with at LSU. The AD Rick Villarreal, was reminded of the guy they use to play pickup games with. Rick called Johnny, met with him and offered him the HC job there. I got to talk with Jones at an LSU Baseball game after he was hired, he didn't know the full story, but was glad I was able to fill him in. As for the AD, I got to talk with Rick a couple years back when N Tx played in Tiger Stadium. Rick started on Curley's staff but moved into the AD department at LSU and moved up from there.

They've got to start faster once in conference play. Being down by 10 to Savannah St is embarrassing. But this is a great 2nd half team. Not worried about this one but I would like to see them get a faster start out of the gate.
