LSU Basketball trip to Australia

    I hope their charter has lay flat seats. That is a long trip, especially for some really tall guys.

    If they don't play well make them sit in coach for the return trip. Are they taking a charter or flying commercial? Seems like a charter to down under would be pretty damn costly

    Here's a link to highlights of the first game, an 89-75 win over Newcastle. 22 and 10 for Simmons. Like the way the move the ball, lots of unselfish play.

    That would be Monday in Aussie time. I think. Maybe yesterday. Maybe it's already been played and we are waiting for the space-time continuum to catch up. Anyway I can find out? Are they taking bets on these games?

    In my mind it was an SEC game. I remember a guy behind me after the play tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I can't believe y'all get to watch this every game."

    ESPN announces schedule for College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon

    For the eighth straight year, ESPN will help get the college basketball season off to an exciting start by broadcasting their 24-hour College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

    In addition to the top incoming freshman in the country, LSU's Ben Simmons, being part of the action, basketball fans will get the opportunity to see some of the nation's best teams face off against one another as the Kentucky Wildcats, Duke Blue Devils, Maryland Terrapins, Michigan State Spartans and Kansas Jayhawks are all scheduled to play.

    As you can see from the schedule of games below, there will be plenty of intriguing matchups from the time that the event starts on November 16th to its close on the 17th.

    Mon., Nov. 16

    5:30 p.m.: UConn at Ohio State (women) ESPN2
    7:30 p.m.: Virginia at George Washington ESPN2
    9:00 p.m.: Kennesaw State at LSU ESPNU
    9:30 p.m.: San Diego State at Utah ESPN2
    11:30 p.m.: Baylor at Oregon ESPN2


    Tue., Nov. 17

    1:45 a.m.: BYU at Long Beach State ESPN2
    4:00 a.m.: Nevada at Hawaii ESPN2
    6:00 a.m.: Green Bay at East Tennessee State ESPN2
    8:00 a.m.: Stephen F. Austin at Northern Iowa ESPN2
    10:00 a.m.: Valparaiso at Rhode Island ESPN2
    1:00 p.m.: Alabama at Dayton ESPN
    3:00 p.m.: Colorado at Auburn ESPN
    5:00 p.m.: Oklahoma at Memphis ESPN
    7:30 p.m.: Kentucky vs. Duke (Chicago) ESPN
    9:00 p.m.: Georgetown at Maryland ESPN2
    10:00 p.m.: Kansas vs. Michigan State (Chicago) ESPN


    The games between the aforementioned Wildcats and Blue Devils as well as the Jayhawks and Spartans will take place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois as part of the Champions Classic.
