I'm afraid Bass will BE an NBA power forward a lot sooner than us Tiger fans would like.

i am worried about our 3-point shot....to steal a line from Hawthorne, Koundjia can't even "throw it in the ocean."

Minor has been inconsistent and Hudson still has a little ways to go to get back to his freshman productivity

    Mitchell is solid, but streaky

Whipple can hit an open 3, but we can't depend on him....I really like this team but i think 10-6 or 9-7 is our SEC record simply b/c we can't shoot well right now

The key words in your post are "right now" Brady's teams always get better as the season progresses.

We will split with MooU, Bama, Arky, lose to Ky and Fl. That's 5 and allows no upsets to Vandy, Tn., Old Piss, etc.

i wouldn't consider Vandy an upset at all...in fact, they are ranked #25 and #22 respectively in the coaches' and ap poll

    Matt Freije is a machine

    Hey Guys,
Anyone who has ever played sports understands that not everyone can step in to the next level and be Chris Jackson like
in thier 1st game or season.

Your also going to have the nights when you can't miss and your
in the groove and nights where you struggle to try and find the
    groove.

People have to also get used to playing with each other and become comfortable playing with each other and whatever offense LSU runs.

Some of you guys are freaking out over nothing.

I saw Tack Minor hit a 3 against Utah, I don't remember if he missed any.

I saw him go 0 for 2 or maybe 3 against UAB.

There are nights when your going to make shots and there are
nights when you aren't going to be able to make many or struggle.

The KEY for LSU IS we can't have all of our outside shooters have
an off night on the same night.

Hopefully, If 1 struggles the other 1 will have to step up, thats
where the leadership of a seasoned veteren like Hudson has to
step it up, or maybe Mitchell in his 2nd year.

Anyone care to revise their predictions after last night's performance? LOL

This team can't shoot from the outside. I'm beginning to think Hudson's performance at the end of his freshman year was a fluke ... he's been cold from 3 point land ever since.

Mitchell is way too streaky from the perimeter. Koundjia needs to stop shooting 3s and drive to the hoop. IMO, Whipple doesn't shoot enough 3s. Minor may be our answer, but it's too early to know.

And before all you brady lovers jump on me for saying anything remotely negative about this team, let me add that I think this team will be in the Tourney ... but to think they'll only lose 4 or 5 games this year is unrealistic.

Brady must find someone who can shoot it...

Hawthorne and Ford both commented on how Houston did not impress them at all....they are still a mid-tier C-USA team..

LSU simply missed WIDE OPEN shots....as soon as we start hitting shots then we will be difficult to stop...but if we keep this up we might not make it to the tourney
