Of all those teams Mainieri has been part over the last 50 years, he just said in the post-game interview that: "I've never been around a team that seems so snake-bitten" a.k.a luckless, unlucky, star-crossed, unfortunate
Sometimes you have to create your own luck. If you are snake-bitten, grab a shovel, machete, shotgun or anything you can to kill the damn snake. I'm sure the team knows this more than anyone and I can't imagine how frustrated they are. But this is no time to make excuses. What is happening on the field is a direct result of what they are doing. Bottom line, they are allowing teams to beat them. Its almost like they expect to lose. Can anyone on this team step up to the challenge? We're supposed to be the ones scoring in the ninth, not them! It's not too late, but it has to start TOMORROW!:tigereye:
That was all of us...when we were acting like a bunch of Bama football fans...you know (entitled to NCs) :bncry: I'm in shock, but still love LSU baseball. (Auburn had the worst pitching staff in the SEC)
LSU salvages game 3 winning 3-2. Alsup went 8 2/3 giving up 2 runs*** ***Alsup had 2 men on in the 9th with 2 outs, and a pop-up went to Katz in RF. Katz lost the ball and it fell in for a base hit. 2 runs scores. Yes, Alsup was robbed of a complete game shutout by a mental mistake by Katz. It was not ruled an error.***
I'm guilty too, but at that time there was no reason not to expect another typical LSU baseball season. We certainly know different now don't we? P.S. Congrats on the win today.:tigbas:
With our inability to string runs together...I wish we were looking forward to the Boxing and Women's beach volleyball seasons that should follow baseball and precede football.
