LSU Baseball

No doubt about the pressure, he felt it last year as did the players as there were several comments about it. But they all also said that is one of the reason you play and coach at LSU because of the expectations and the program.

 

Sure wish they'd bring back the Challenge series that they used to play in the dome in February. Always was a good chance to see some good teams and a good road trip for me. With the dome, I didn't have to worry about driving 8 hours and having the game rained out. Not sure why that event went by the wayside but sure hate that it did. :bncry:

 

I agree the bar for LSU Baseball has been set very high. However, instead of being disappointed in the 2 CWS appearances with Smoke I am overjoyed. Smoke is an amazing Coach. But, I really think our "2 and Bar B Que" days are over.

I assume you are talking about the Winn-Dixie Showdown. Skip withdrew LSU's involvement because the school was not getting an adequate part of the profit.

 

Figured $$$ might have been a factor. Thanks for clearing that up. Onward to Omaha. :tigbas:
