1. Smoke should be hogtied and beaten for having this team tied for 1st in the West and 1.5 games behind Tennessee for the overall SEC lead.

And don't give me this "2 straight CWS" crap ... he didn't win it all, so he's not a good coach.

Skip should have a policy about firing coaches (in all sports) if they can't win a NC every 3 years ... afterall, this is LSU!
  2. Madonna is well past her prime so I would call these players post madonna. I believe the term you were searching for is prima donna.

By the way, it's Coach Laval , not Lavall.
  3. You may not remember it, but I can tell you I remember the players calling him Skip or "The Skipper" many times.

Some people will go to any length to complain. :dis:
  4. No sh!t!
  5. The fact is that SEC baseball as a whole is a lot tougher than when Skip was in charge. More teams from this conference are making it to post season and LSU can not be expected to dominate week in and week out.

Smoke is an excellent coach and deserves credit for taking LSU to the CWS not once but twice. LSU baseball is not falling- other teams are stepping up. Personally, I would rather see hard fought games than blow outs.

Wally once remarked that the fans were coming down too hard on the players. If I’m not mistaken, he went as far as to say if they were that displeased with the club they could stay at home. After all they are college KIDS and they are doing their best. I can’t find the article. I think it was in the Advocate. Anyone know what article I’m talking about??

What kills me the most is sitting next to say Lane’s Mom when he’s not performing up to someone standards. Remember what you yell at the games has the potential to be heard by family members. Some stuff that is said is just mean-spirited and uncalled for. Not to mention the player himself hearing it!! Think about it -what if it was your son out there??
  6. lsubatgirl04 you're right. To me any LSU fan that goes to a game and yells crap at one of players is an idiot, period.
  7. It's different in football. I yelled at Randall after his third interception and many one-hopped screens in the Naked Mud Streaker Bowl this past season. I know there weren't any parents around in the North end zone, and there are 92K to drown me out.
  8. What about yelling stuff at opposing players? As long as you keep it within the boundaries of good taste? I ask this because I went to the Auburn-Ole Miss game Saturday night and there were a few groups of fans that were unmerciful on the Ole Miss players. Of course, we were up 7-3 and 12-4 at the time...
  9. Opposing players are fair game, they expect it. Probably disappointed if they don't get some flak from opposing fans.
  10. I've heard some things yelled at opposing players and coaches that definitely go beyond "ragging" as well. I just say use your common sense. If it’s something you wouldn’t want yelled at your son or daughter- don’t say it!

Worse thing I ever heard was a guy yelling some pretty vulgar stuff at one of the bat girls when her skirt blew up on the field as she was trying to bring the umpire more balls. Needless to say her grandfather was sitting a few rows up and there was almost a brawl in the grandstand.
