He was not going to get much playing time this year with the spots being sured up. So instead of a late start after Spring football practice everyone decided he should focus on the upcoming football season. Either that or basically sit in the dugout this year. Don't think he just lost all of his baseball skills but just did not have much of a chance of developing after the football season and Spring. He will most likely be back on the baseball team after next football season.
