Light rain continues to fall here at Rosenblatt Stadium. However, the wind has changed directions, now blowing out of the northwest. Skies continue to get lighter and the grounds crew has been working to remove puddles from the area behind home plate and on the tarp.
There's a good chance that we'll get restarted at about 9 p.m. local time, maybe a little later. The grounds crew is removing the spikes that hold the tarp in place and may pull the tarp in the next 10-20 minutes. The field has drained well thus far.
Another look at the radar indicates that we're at the tail end of this storm cell. There's another one behind it, but it appears much weaker than the first that came though the area.

They just chimed in sayin 38 minute re-start. I guess after the rip tide recedes off the mound. Sh!tty field is gonna put some E's on the board. Who is in on a rain dance?

I hope your doctor was just kidding around... because I seriously believe that the passion of LSU fans is so strong that it is something to advise patients on (for example, I know a guy that had a heart attack in response to watching LSU's insane come-back against Irvine... and I'm sure a lot of doctors have seen similar situations from patients that are LSU fans).

I stopped by the Louisiana State dugout first, and the players were huddled in the clubhouse. The atmosphere seemed a little tense, as you might imagine after that rough start. Coach Paul Mainieri said Blake Martin’s day was over, but he wasn’t sure who would be the first man out of the bullpen.

North Carolina was loose as can be, with help from catcher/DH Mark Fleury, who used eye black to paint a beard on his face and entertain his teammates. There was plenty of laughing and clapping and chanting, just an old-fashioned good time.

I don't like it. We can't have a pitcher last 1/3 of an inning. I had such a great feeling about this game 4 hours ago, and it's miles away now.

Well, the announcers were just giving us an update on the status of the weather delay, and I heard something about "we're sorry" and a bunch of other mumbling because the volume is so low.

Big Pod, please, if you are there, turn the volume back up.

Could anyone else tell me what the announcers just communicated to us about the status of the weather delay?
