Well although I would've enjoyed seeing the streak extended and you always want to win the first game, I'm not real worried. UC-Davis is a good team but I don't know that they can play much better than they did tonight. Their pitching was great...ours was not good. They made good decisions...we made a few bad ones. The breaks went their way...definitely not ours. We weren't patient at the plate...they were. Considering everything, we were only a few rally killers away from making this a good game. I hope there aren't any bad calls tomorrow but if anything is close, we are owed the benefit. Otherwise the refs should never work again...:yelwink2:
No, we really don't (I know, shocking). But, to be perfectly honest, I do know good people that have gotten very interested in playing it for fun... but as a real NCAA sport... I don't know anyone here that would think of it as such.
I got knocked off. I don't mind doing the pbp but after the 7th inning, I had to fight to stay online. Brett needs to expand his bandwith.
Just got home. Worst call in the history of baseball. I think you know what I'm talking about. Paulie Testicles: Why are you here? Get a life, dude.
Back from the game too. It just hurts to see that happen. No one will ever know what would have happened had the ump just admitted he wasn't looking. But it really seemed the team got shot in both kneecaps after that call. Either way, the pitching staff walked 5 of the first 6 runs onto base. That's pretty bad. I sure hope UCI's second pitcher isn't nearly as good as the first one. Were our first 3 guys in the line-up 1 for 15? That's what I counted. From LSUSports.net:
