I never said anything like it is unacceptable for Clark to be in a small slump. All I am saying is that he is probably upset with himself.

Game was a lot of fun to watch, after my last comment in this thread my girlfriend came over. We were sitting on the couch watching the game for the 7th and 8th. She went to the kitchen to fix something to eat, and I sat down for a second on the coffee table. When we started batting and the ball was finding holes in the infield and then the shortstop bobbled Jared Mitchell's hit, I was yelling at her that she wasn't allowed to leave the kitchen and I didn't move off the coffee table.

Therefore, I'm pretty much the reason we won. On Thursday at 7 p.m. I told her she's cooking a 3 course meal and I'm gonna baby gate her ass in the kitchen.

I thought the 6th inning was early to bring in your closer... was that early for him, or does Rice usually bring him that early in the game? I assumed they wouldn't bring their shutdown closer until the 8th at least so that he wouldn't run out of gas. Not certain that's what happened with him yesterday, but I was happy to see him that early instead of coming in when we are down 5-1 in the 8th.

It was do or die for Rice, they had a safe lead, but Graham could sense that LSU was mounting some sort of onslaught. He brought in the best pitcher he had in the bullpen, which happened to be his closer, in hopes that he could give him 4 strong innings. It could have been a great strategy, but once through the lineup and we started picking the ball up better.

We all shouldn't forget that, the shortstop who bobbled Jared's weak grounder, may have gotten a fate sealing double play and everyone would be talking about how Rice's closer was the "right" call.

Ok, so based on the two quotes of mine.... I am a SabanFan disciple who needs to take a valium before watching the game. Thanks.
