They get things screwed up from time to time don't they. They said LSU 6 years to the day they beat Rice out in 2002. That was Notre Dame...not LSU. That was Paul Maineiri...not Smokehouse Laval. It's cool though....

I would like to see Georgia do well in the other bracket but I hope their kid with 26 HRs sticks with base hits.

I'm glad to see Clark have several more opportunities to add to his total. As teams start rotating pitchers hopefully he'll find 1-2 that throw to his liking.

We still may have that "big" multiple homer game coming.

I think we're also due for one of those games where everything goes our way.

Only six teams left and one more will be gone before we play again. One more win places us in the final four and possibly the final three.

I noticed that too...it is because he was staying on third to tag up. Mitchell would have had to have tried to make it all the way back to first had that ball been caught. The same aggressive running that hurt us earlier won the game in the end. I am never going to complain again. :hihi:

It's almost surreal isn't it. Who woulda thunk it after the Georgia series. Who woulda thunk it against UC Irvine in game 2...and who woulda thunk it in the 8th inning of this game. It is truly mind blowing...in a good way for a change.

Hope they are now starting to get settled in with the level of play in the CWS. They really need this type of win to jumpstart them.

The other teams better start watching out for this Tiger team:thumb:

    OH MY GOD!!!

Got slammed at work and had to DVR it...was having a bad night. Made my wife reschedule our 2 year anniversary dinner. Seriously, Blake Dean has been my favorite Tiger for the past 2 years....Blake made both me and my wife's short list on names for our boy. I said..."Blake, if you hit this ball off the fence, I will name my child after you"

    Well :wave::wave::wave::wave:

Happy Anniversary, and I really hope my wife likes the name!!

    FREAKIN SWEAT!!!

It looks like UNC is getting a few close breaks again and lead 3-1.

If this continues, we'll need to defeat Fresno State then UNC twice to advance to the final.

Ain't nothing but a thing! :thumb:

Going undefeated is nice but not what great memories are made of. We remember '96 because we were on the verge of defeat. The same with '00...seconds before the Bluegrass Miracle...last week against UCI, today, etc...

This one will be much sweeter after starting 0-1.

BTW...HR for Fresno, now 3-2 UNC
