LSU Baseball vs. Rice - College World Series

Funny you say that, I just said almost the same thing to my buddies sitting here watching with me. I put this team and the gambles that Coach Paul takes right up there with the football team and the gambles that Coach Les takes.

 

thats what this dude below this reply is missing. these are quality pitchers and your run producers arent often looking for infield singles. clark has a sweet uppercut swing thats often all or nothing.

.375 on-base % isnt bad when you're struggling.

sometimes major league hitters will go 0 for 30 or so. even those with batting titles.

ill be at your work next game. i want a few margaritas on the house. be sure you're working. :grin:

 

WOW. This is one damn strong team that just doesn’t give up – they keep pushing from 1 to 9. If they keep this up they won’t be one of my favorite LSU Baseball teams, they may be my favorite. What a ride this season has been – I can’t wait for the next chapter (Thursday at 6???).

Thanks again to everyone here for the pbp and connection – I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the Tigers without them.

this game was just like so many this year. absolutely dead in the water and no chance of winning.

or so we think.

south carolina, UCI just to name a couple.

not only does it look bleak, it looks beyond impossible with the outs we give away on both sides.

a win is a win and im happy for the tiger faithful who made the trip. it absolutely sucks making the trip then turn right around to head back.

no 2 and bbq this time. they were granted a reprieve and an extended stay in omaha.

hopefully we can make some more noise.

Amen, and amen. Fact is, it's a crapshoot once you get up to the CWS.

It's been a pleasure and an honor to watch guys like Cole, Doddy, JP, and Chris for a number of years. Best of luck to them and all the other seniors and departing Ricers in the future. Thanks as always to Wayne and the assistant coaches for putting together such a great program.

And a big FU to ESPN for such blantant LSU homerism. They ought to be ashamed.

Don't hold your breath on that one. Playing to the team with more fans (i.e. LSU) = bigger ratings. And they'll pat themselves on the back for staying with the ultimate winner, too.
