Not sure how this became predominantly an AU-LSU game thread because, c'mon, the LSU-UGA game is gonna be H-U-G-E. Consider: even if LSU goes to Athens with a loss to Auburn on the ledger, a win in Athens against what will almost certainly be an undefeated, top 3 Georgia team puts the Tigers right back into the top 10 (assuming they fall to, like, 11 or 12 after an Auburn loss). Georgia is going to be undefeated (who they gonna lose to, South Carolina-?), so at worst it's a 1-loss LSU team versus an undefeated Jawja team. I like and respect Mark Richt and have no beef with the Bulldog fans (can't believe LSU has played them so infrequently over the years...). Anyway, I think going to Athens for the game would be great. The intensity, the tradition...man, SEC football at its best!
WTF! Consider an Auburn loss on the ledger??? Would NEVER consider that. UGA might the biggest game of the season, but a loss to AU and the UGA game is not quite as huge as it once was.
Likewise, I always have a great time in Athens. I have never had a bad experience at any away game in the SEC. Most SEC fans are good folks (of course everyone has some bad apples) and the southern hospitality is like a sore d*ck....you just can't beat it!
