As long as LSU has no turnovers, can move the ball on offense, AND stop AU's running attack, we got the game. LSU 21 AU 13
So what your saying Rath is as long as LSU can win the game your picking them, right ? I means those stats you gave are how every team wins games.
Maybe I should emphasize. Against OSU, LSU fumbled the opening kickoff and Randall threw an int. on his first pass of the season. Crucial turnovers, elminate those. Also, against OSU, LSU could not move the ball very well. I believe we went 10 drives without getting a first down. Move the ball on offense better. And AU has a terrific running game, in fact I believe they are a little too reliant upon that. If we can stop them, we'd have the game. Basically what I was saying, is if we correct our errors in the Oregon State game, and stop Auburn's RBs. we win, which I think we will be able to do. Because Auburn will not be able to pass with Corey Webster and Travis Daniels at corner. LSU 21 AU 13
Pay attention boys and girls [acting like ramah]: My prediction last week was.......... ----> LSU 51, ASU 3 How close was that?! I just didn't expect to make so many PATs that early in the season! This week, it will be... LSU 17 Chickens 13 Close game throughout, and the LSU D closes the deal. :geaux:
Well, based on the forecast for kickoff tomorrow, and assuming the weather doesn't change, it should be dry. High is 80 degrees with some wind. Precipitation is at 0%. http://www.weather.com/activities/events/sports/weather/weekend.html?locid=USAL0035 I will go out on a limb and say LSU 28 Auburn 14. I think that it will be a close game in the first half with the score, LSU 14-7. I think the defense will be fired up for this one. Jason Campbell isn't the greatest QB in college football and is prone to making mistakes. I think we'll finally see that secondary that had everyone in awe last season and has so many eagerly anticipating this season. The battle up front (Our DL vs their OL) should be a no-contest. Look at the beasts we have on that line. There is no reason why we shouldn't dominate the LOS all game long and shut down the Caddy two years in a row. I say look for the AU run game to be completely shut down. I think Auburn will luck up and have good field position at least once in the first half and that will lead to their lone score. LSU on the other hand... I say that Russell will get in a steady rhythm and complete well over 50% of his passes. I say, look for our wide outs to make some huge plays and pick up chunks of yards all day. JV should be real effective in this game, and the OL will have a much easier time with their footing on a dry field. Things should open up in the run game and I say that JV rushes for over 100 yards. Also, look for Addai to get some carries, he's really impressive. In the 2nd half, look for the offense to just explode. I think that the end result of the game will be JV running one in, and JR throwing for 3 along with well over 200 yards passing (275). Auburn puts up a late score, but it'll be real late with mostly second teamers in for us. That brings us to the final... LSU 28 Auburn 14.
