I'll lose my mind if this comes to pass. I hate to say this, and should probably be castrated for it, but I can't make up my mind who to pull for in Auburn vs. Arkansas. See, I really want another SEC team in the NC this year, and since UGA's out of the picture, I have a tendency to want to pull for Auburn, because all it takes is a Miami and USC upset. That seems to me more likely than Auburn losing to both UGA and Arkansas. But who knows. For now, I guess I'll just watch. If Auburn loses to Arkansas, yay for the hogs, and it gives us a shot at the West if UGA pulls it off vs AU. If Auburn beats the hogs, I'll pull for a UM/USC upset. :geaux:

The other guys have pretty much covered it. UGA has a long road stretch at the end of the season...@Ark, UF (Neutral Site), @UK, then @AU (end of a 7-game stretch). AU has an off-week to prepare for UGA. I just don't see UGA beating AU in Auburn late in the season, unless something catastrophic happens to one of their RBs.

Believe me, I would love nothing more than to have our Tigers back in the SECCG, I just don't think the odds favor it.

Nooooooo! Don't do it! I understand the desire to have another SEC team in the NC game, but not if it means saying "WAR DAMN EAGLE!!" I just can't do it.

I don't think the piglets can handle Auburn. However.....the hillbillies just might beat Georgia. If so, would Pollack still be roommates with Greene and would Pollack's motor still be running ? Inquiring minds want to know.

Arkansas is definately the wildcard in the SEC... Matt Jones and company can go into any stadium and win... he has proven that since his freshman year back in 1979. I really dont see any team in the SEC finishing in the top 5, maybe not the top 10.. depending on if there are 2 loss teams in the top ten.. Auburn will lose 2 games this year.. most likely Georgia and Alabama (yes.. the iron bowl, at Bama). Georgia will lose to Florida in at the world's largest cocktail party (cocktails... lsu needs a game called "the world's largest beer bust"... wait.. thats every homegame)... I just can see Ainge playing every game at the level he played against Georgia, so i dont see Tennessee getting past USC without a loss...

So.. should we be asking about a Georgia, Florida, Tennessee tie as well?

    Hillbillies?

news alert........the Hillbillies did beat Georgia last week! Ohhhhhhhh..... you meant the Arkansas clan of hillbillies, not the Tennessee clan of hillbillies!

Anyway, IMO the Hogs chance of being able to handle Auburn was dealt a devastating blow by critical injuries to their O-line. Matt Jones deserves better, but he's gonna have a difficult day. I expect a physical, proud Razorback team to fight very hard, but they're badly outnumbered this time and not even Matt Jones can help............ that is, unless MJ can also play cornerback.

agree and the early success of Arkansas was a big shock to me, especially when they played UT close enough to win.

I think they are going to struggle the rest of the way regardless their o-line. they just dont have enough playmakers or depth at most positions.

But Matt Jones can sure spoil a party if he's right.

Yep, Matt Jones is a fun player to watch. Hope he gets a crack at the next level....I'd pay money to see him play. (His toughness reminds me of Favre) :thumb:
