Not talking about Frank's talking about Mond. He has been there 4 years and been the starter for 3 and one half years. We are playing A&M this coming weekend not Ark. My point is we have a true freshman at QB not a 4 year starter.
FWIW, TAMU has apparently not practiced for the last two weeks. They must’ve seen us coming on the schedule.
Thats the thing about qb's. Ask Tampa Bay Coach. He wasnt real happy with Tom Brady last week and he is one of the best ever. Bottom line is our o line. If they give our qb time and do a good job of run blocking we stand a really good chance to win and have a major time of possession advantage. If our Offense starts going 3 and out or turning ball over then it will be auburn all over.
I know we won a championship last year and this year has been plagued with unknowns of all sorts, COVID, civil unrest, defections to the No Fun League, etc. etc. When I made comments about O taking over the program, this is the kind of stuff I was referring to (rape charges, domestic abuse, etc.) as far as how much has he changed. I know he can't stop his players from doing this stuff, but once its done they no longer need to be his players. O's very nature has appeared to be that of a deceptive person (con-man). Not his fault, kind of comes with the grooming of being a good recruiter. With that said, these guys usually are just a flash in the pan as far as top generals. They just don't have the character to hide their deceptive nature for sustained periods of time. They serve a roll but not as top leaders of a program. They need oversight to pull in the reigns when they step over. More times than not they cost the university in the long run and I am afraid we are headed in that direction. I was wrong about him being able to take us to the top, but I hope it doesn't cost of years of misery. I know that most coaches are not Lilly white and have stepped across the line in the pursuit of greatness, so don't pound on me for that because I know it exist. My only concern from day 1 are the same ones that I would have if we would have hired a Kiffin, Leach, Briles, Petrino, Carrol, etc. These guys are toxic to a program and bring a few years of excitement but years of misery. Only a fair weather LSU fan would approve of that for a program. I would like to see LSU sustain a long error of success and I hope O is the guy because I like him as the face of the program, he fits. I just hope what we are seeing is only a temporary effect of outside forces and not him regressing to his former self. Only my 2 cents....GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
