1. Our defense didn't outplay them all game?
  2. I think LSU got the best Auburn can offer. LSU kicked their ass last year and this was an important game for them. LSU doesn't spread and it played into their defensive effort.

  3. Our defense wasn't any better than theirs was against our offense. I would have to say it was a push. Hell we only scored 12 points. At one point we went on a 0-9 3rd conversion run. If you are asking if our D outplayed their O, than yes, but I don't think our D played their O any better than their D outplayed our O.
  4. BTW, number 6 Oklahoma just lost to Kansas State in Norman I believe.

  5. The first 3 games it was hard to see because they ran the ball so much. Tonight was a night for the receiver. Some catches were made but sometimes it seemed Mett was throwing the ball away..... and Sheppard can't catch a big time ball for nothing.

  6. Who gives a fuck about last year, we were on the ropes by a team that will finish last in the West behind Ole Miss..

  7. LSU had 351 total yards. Auburn had 183, 97 passing and 86 rushing.

I think our defense absolutely outplayed their defense. Heck out offense outplayed their offense. If we don't have those 2 early fumbles its a MUCH different game. That was basically a 17 point swing, if not more.

  8. But sometimes you get the best from the worst. Its football.
  9. those 2 fumbles, and the 9 consecutively missed 3rd down conversions are the reasons I think it was a push. Yards don't mean shit if you can't score.

  10. Outplay indicates an entire game. We outplayed Auburn on both sides of the ball. On defense that was because our defense is so good. On offense it's because their offense is soo bad.

If you can't say that one offense getting double the yards of the other is not out playing, well the conversation isn't going to go anywhere. Lets not forget that Auburn had 2 turn overs too. The ONLY thing that kept Auburn in the game was heart, home field, and some shady calls.
