Community column for July 1, 2014 Advocate story June 30, 2014 Miles helps promote Cooking in Central LSU football coach Les Miles helped promote this year’s Cooking in Central fundraiser by singing a duet with Tina Mancuso and the band Carbon Copy. The ninth annual event for the city of Central was held May 30-31 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and raised more than $118,000. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Central’s Veteran Memorial Garden, area schools and the Central Community Assistance Foundation.
