LSU and Texas may very well be fighting for Herman

Charlie will be the DC this weekend. Anxious to see if there will be any improvement in the secondary which, only has 1 way to go. I mean, all they really gotta do is tackle. ST should have no answer though. Allow 3 blocked kicks and you got bigger problems than Peveto

 

No doubt. It'll be pocket change for them big Texas Oil folks. All you have to do is look at their high school stadiums to see how they're on a different plane than us.

Our hs fields are full of nutsedge, smut grass, and bahia. Theirs are full of ground up rubber that leaves a line on tv when a player drags a foot cause theirs are artificial turf.

 

Lane says USC quit sending him money this past summer. But if you are telling me it's Clay Helton or bust, I can live with that.

 

Got feel bad for the Houston fans. Everyone is gunning for their coach.

 

That doesn't quell the infighting however. Texas is a mess and if it's in the ears of the GP I guarantee the coaches know a lot more.

 

No dude!! I love coach O. He is a local boy and would love for him to stay at LSU but not as the HC. I have seen him coach in the SEC and it wasn't good.

He just might make it a very tough decision. I'm willing to let the season play out are you? If Herman and the rest of the "available" wish list turn us down then what?

All you can do is go by his resume. That's what we do as people on message board , AD'S, search firms etc etc.

If you never went by anyone resume anyone can get hired at anytime for anything. He didn't build this team. He coaches it better than Miles IMO but he didn't build the team.

USC he didn't build . He coached them well for a short time span just like he will do at LSU but we have seen him recruit and build his staff and recruiting classes. He is good at taking over and coaching energy and getting most out of his players.

At Ole Miss though he had 3 years to recruit his players and every year his team got worse.

This is what I keep struggling with. Hopefully he did learn alot b/c that ole piss record was bad.

I if he does land the job I hope he does his recruiting and motivating thing and then delegates to smarter people (not saying he isn't smart). Hire the best damn offensive/QB developing coach you can, stick with aranda, dump our "special" special teams coach and make damn sure we can get this O line sorted out for the long haul. I think this is a good recipe for success, I dont think these days the HC can do it all. Only a very small number of guys can do that and I think knowing what you strengths are and what others strengths are will end up being good. I think miles wanted to have every thing done his way and you can see where that got us. Hell look at satan himself he went and hired his little monkey humping helper in kiffen and all of a sudden they have a 21st century offense.

 

I dont think recruiting is his problem just my opinion
