The point is teams almost almost always go the opposite way of their last HC. it's simply human nature. But tiga thinks Les was an offensive minded coach so there is that.
Nicely said lady Stacey! Texas has the money but the boosters make the TAF guys look like choir boys! To your point, if Herman is a competitor he will want an annual crack at the King and the conference! One unknown about Herman to look at (though and I think that he will be fine) is how would he fair on the week in and week out gauntlet of the SEC; the golden boy will now become the hunted. I for one wont jump off the bridge if we do not land him because we have a top PROGRAM and it will attract the like....Nothing comes before the PROGRAM!
If Oeaux should somehow become head coach I wouldn't be totally against promoting Ensminger to OC. Depending on what happens the rest of the season.
If texas and LSU go after Herman LSU will be in need of a plan B. Alleva and the gang screwed themselves at the end of last season. The sooner he is fired the better.
Word out in these parts is that the preemptive strike by LSU has gotten the attention of those at Texas. If the horns get rolled on Saturday good time Charlie may be out by Sunday.
I had not heard this before. While an assistant at Texas, Major Applewhite had an affair with a student trainer in 2009 and was reprimanded. Texas' former women's track coach had an affair with one of her athletes and was fired in 2013 (the affair occurred 10 years prior). She now has a race and sex discrimination lawsuit pending against UT and Applewhite is named in the suit. So, if Herman wants to keep Applewhite as his OC, will he still consider UT over LSU. Will he dump Applewhite or make sure Applewhite gets the Houston job? Or will he choose LSU and bring Applewhite with him? Can Texas afford to rehire Applewhite with this lawsuit pending? http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/col...achs-discrimination-suit-university-texasnbsp
It will really get interesting for Texas if Strong somehow beats OU. Seems like the underdog wins a lot in that lame series.
Charlie needs an entire defense and special teams. I thought with his recruiting to play charlie ball, he would be a little better off, but everything from LB back is an empty defense. Won't be long, really. Texas needs saving, LSU is lined up for Atlanta. Where would you start your legacy? O is after 1 game, a proven Tiger. But his opportunity comes after what lies ahead. Plan B is his bar to raise. I hope he eats the bar
