Saban has some INPUT on who we schedule, but the schedule is set by Bertman and Radakovich; they make the final decisions. The recent cancellations have also given some of the folks on here that football schedules are a quickie project with a lot of last-minute shuffling. Normally, that is not the case. Normally, schedules are made YEARS in advance. Now that said, I think some people on this board are freaking out over nothing. We are NOT playing Southern, SLU, or any other 1-AA program in this state. The only 1-AA program we would even remotely consider for the schedule next year is McNeese State, IF they win the 1-AA national title and IF we cannot find any 1-A opponent to fill the date. Gosh, some people on this board seriously need to take a valium. Just because some Southern board member or SLU athletic official mouthed off about fantasizing about a possible LSU payday, you guys already think the Jaguars and Lions have signed on the dotted line to play here in 04 and 05. Guys, give Skip a little more credit than that. Playing the in-state 1-As was the right thing to do, and he knows not to take it any further than that.
