I already posted this but again, yes 8-0 at home is a positive but call it what it is- 8 teams, none ranked. LSU is an elite program, the one win in Tennessee is more impressive than our home schedule. Thank God we didn't lose any.
Yep, we have a home schedule this year to be proud of! Seriously if this was the end of the Dinardo era we could be proud of this but our home schedule wasn't exactly murderous row. Then again I've never liked the cupcake games in football or basketball, there is simply too many of both. surely LSU should be better than this as far as being very proud of this home schedule.
Not much of an accomplishment at this point in the program's history. I'd love to enjoy the moment, but in case you missed it, Ole Miss just forced LSU to go to 4th down to get to OT. A 3 win Ole Miss team. Pardon me if I'm not giddy with optimism.
You do have to admit, though, that ole piss had all of the intangibles tonight. No excuse...but they did. I called this one earlier tonight. Something told me it would be close. I just didnt think it would be this d#mn close.
I'm not sure what you mean by intangibles...playing on the road? Being remarkably overmatched? Led by a lunatic imbecile (OK, so maybe both teams shared this)?
I would say it is hard to gameplan for a reckless HC who pulls an onside kick and 2 fake punts in the same half. As much as us younger kids want to disagree, LSU/Ole Miss is a rivalry game, and anything can happen. On paper Auburn should have walloped Bama, but that game came down to the final seconds as well.
