Show me some hardware. They've done nothing. Top 10, sure, but they haven't shown they can bring home the bacon. LSU (and Les) has. It's a respect thing. Missouri is just another "flavor of the week". They'll end up behind OU and UT like they always do.
LSU's hardware doesnt give them super powers for a season. Putting LSU ahead of Missouri is fine by me, but I can never figure out why people judge a team on its past accomplishments when that doesnt matter at all this year. Missouri should have been a BCS team last year.
Because LSU has enough in it's arsenal combined with being the most recent :crystal: wnner to warrant a top 5 ranking. Skins on the wall should count for something.
They seem to for other teams. But I truly believe that had RP kept clean, we'd have probably been in the top 3 heading in.
It's a shame that last year doesn't factor into this poll. And that hardware meant nothing. Or else Alabama would be pretty high up there. Did you think to yourself "Show me some hardware" in 2003 when LSU was making it's run at the national title? If I had to guess, I'd say not.
