They couldn't go any lower really. I mean, their only loss was a late second game given to Michigan by the refs. They looked like crap against a bad FSU team, but they won & deserve a top 5 finish.
WVU is also getting some love from the east coast press. Even though the Big East has turned into even more of a basketball conference. (UConn, Pitt, Syracuse, Cincy, Louisville, Rutgers...etc.) Notre Dame gets a free pass and Ohio State successfully avoided playing the best competition available. And what would Penn State have done against a decent offense? I'm just glad that Georgia stayed in the top 10 for the 4th top 10 finish in a row.
Well, I think that love is deserved. Penn St. at Norhwestern W 34-29 Minnesota W 44-14 Ohio St. W 17-10 Wisconsin W 35-14 I would say they have fared pretty well against decent offenses this year...
We ended up as the Highest Ranked team that Didn't win a BCS Bowl Game! Very Proud of the Organization for everything they have gone thru in the last 12 Months! :geauxtige
I was referring more to the lack of offense by FSU. Ohio State got handed a team that had no business being in the BCS series. And Notre Dame has no business being ranked in the final top 10. The best team Notre Dame beat was a 7-5 Michigan.
I think we are going to have to get used to it. Even if Notre Dame can't get the job done themselves, the media will always be there to push them up 10 spots or so above where they need to be. I think Notre Dame is the best case yet for the computer polls.
