Well let's hear it from the friend and the family member again. Because obviously what they said doesn't fly either with the fact that he isn't listed on this chart. The only other interesting thing besides Arnold winning the starting job was Prude beating out Stevenson for the nickel package. I am sure it was a close race.
What I posted was correct....... Str8 from people that work with the program.... I would expect his family and friends to defend him. I hope he comes around. Amp has killer talent, but his knee is still swelling............
It’s interesting that two true freshmen beat out two redshirt freshmen, Carnell Stewart and Sean Merrill, for the backup DT positions. It’s also interesting that Kyle Williams and Claude Wroten have switched sides. Another interesting thing is Ali Highsmith came out of spring practice the starter at SAM linebacker, but is now the backup at Will linebacker. Finally, I’ve noticed that Lavelle Hawkins and Amp Hill haven’t emerged on the two deep chart. Lavelle Hawkins would be a good candidate to redshirt, and evidently Amp Hill is still not completely recovered from his knee injury yet.
Amp Hill is a RS freshman. At least he has his four years ahead of him. Let's face it, knee injuries can take time to heal (more than a year doesn't mean he's through), sometimes they don't. Certainly his talent is not the issue from what I have heard. Let's hope this young man eventually heals up and has a very productive career as a Tiger and beyond.
As I predicted in a thread from a few months ago, I think Amp will finally see the field, but will not be much of a factor this year. His time will come next year.
Source?????????????? Some of these sizes/weights are off Skyler Green 5-10 & 150 pounds? Niswanger? Source, please?
Yeah, I declare shenanigans! :hihi: He did list him as 195 lbs in one of his references, but 150 in the other 2.
I agree, he won't be a factor for any of the big 3 road games unfortunately, but may be able to contribute somewhat down the stretch. I'll be happy just to see him healthy and gain some confidence on the field, to gear up for next year.
Talked to Amp just now to try to clear some of this confusion up. His is still not 100 percent and still has to ice his knee down after every practice. He thinks he will be ready to go at full health by the trip to the swamp.
