This game was close last year and will be close this year. Both teams are better than last year, it should be a hell of a game. If Bama is a true #2, they should beat LSU. If they are just another SEC top-tier team, then LSU could win. This game will answer the question. LSU 16 Bama 14
Unless our punting game improves significantly I don't feel good about our chances against Bama. This is going to be a field position game and our abysmal punting gives a decided edge to Bama.
There's a score you don't see much! Two TDs and a safety? One TD and three FGs? Two TDs, a missed PAT and a FG? Interesting. I may have to change my prediction, now...
If we're going by stats, we should throw the first 4 weeks out of the equation. LSU was obviously getting used to the system on D, and clueless on O. The O is getting more rythym, but certainly not there yet. The D is there...now. - Also, if we're going by stats, quit using Bama's home field advantage as one of the stats in their favor. We traditionally fare better there than we do in TS against Bama. It's really tiring to hear all the pundits using this as a reason that Bama has the edge. They should look into this a little before yakkin. - LSU 16 (Fat boy blocks an XP) Bama 9 (3 Tiffin FGs)
One TD and three FGs. Bama will be hard to drive against . . . but we have a good kicker if we get close.
I think the key for JJ in this game, or coaching staff, is to give JJ plays that limit the amount of mistakes in the passing game. There is a number of plays where our WR are always open, on every D we played, for around 2 seconds or so. JJ has to be quick. Those quick routes, stop, catch, 7-8 yrd gain all night. Then when they get used to that, burn em with jo jo down field. JJ has to read the LB's though, Bamas LB's are so good in reading the QB this year. JJ is good, and young and we all know he has so much to learn. This game can be the true test of his will to win. HE HAS TO LEADS THIS O for us to have a chance. By now he knows our O fairly well and should know the checks, I think he should step up and take things into his own hands and become a winner. Was it me or did Ridley seemed pissed off every time he got tackled? lol
I hope so but I am not that confident. Let's see if the running game produces like it did last night. If the emergence of our running game is not a one-game fluke, we might win.
