I haven't seen or heard this. Bama is tied for 14th in the nation with 2.88 sacks per game. LSU is 91st with 1.38 sacks per game.

This is more of a difference in scheme, IMO. Also, It's no secret nor is it a surprise that LSU's defense has taken half a season to acclimate to Chavis's system and is finally bringing his blitz packages to fruition, whereas Bama has been playing under Saban for going on three years now. At this point, LSU's D is playing at that level. Stats are misleading.

Besides, Defense exists to keep points off the board. LSU's is becoming elite in that regard. Nothing else really matters.

Regardless of stats, I think we all agree it's going to be a defensive battle next Saturday.

Nobody in the media will give LSU much of a chance because they're all drooling over the possibility of a Bama/UF game in Atlanta.

I like that nobody thinks LSU can win. I just hope they play better than they did on 10/10/09.

If Jefferson is on his game, and Crowton opens the game like he's opened the last two, I think we could see a surprisingly high score (i.e. in the 20s) from the Tigers. LSU has 3 wideouts that could start for anyone and a TE that has not been utilized this year (I think the Bama game will be huge for Dickson).

I'm going with 24-17, LSU. The 17 in recognition of LSU's vulnerability on 3rd down and Bama's talent at TB and coaching.

There's another name I forgot to mention. Randle has to be part of this offense on Saturday as well. He is going to be phenomenal and his time is now. He can make an impact RIGHT NOW.

At their place this is sort of a pick it. Line in Vegas will favor Bama. This is one of the games I picked LSU to lose this year, based on Jefferson's youth and the new DC. I wouldn't say we've "peaked", but we're slowly getting better. JJ looks as good as the Bama kid, McElroy.

I expect a medium scoring game, and LSU has a good chance to pull an upset on the road.

    LSU 21 Bama 17.

I agree with this score. BAMA's running game might be good but it's the kind of running game that LSU's defense is able to contain pretty well. The way our linebackers are playing it will be difficult for BAMA to have a dominant rush attack. Pressure will be on the QB.
