Re: LSU #11 - Week 6 Polls - Coaches' out

Is LSU is too far back to sniff a NC?

1.USC may run the table! (at ND, at Cal & UCLA) Stays ahead of LSU w/loss no doubt about it!
2.Texas (OU next week, TT, both at home) Stays ahead of LSU w TT loss??? Pray for an OU win, lol.
3.VT (BC, Miami, VA in a 3 game stretch) Beamer teams always fade late, say prayers this year!

I say LSU can make it to #4 if we run the table, best case, and a Sugar Bowl in Tiger Stadium

4.FSU (VA & Fla) Quietly snuck up there with a Miami win
5.GA (AT BOTH TN & FLA in October) LSU could get past them in a SECCG
6.OSU (AT PSU, MichSt, At Minn, At Mich)
7.Alabama (TN & LSU both at home, AU) LSU needs to beat them at home
8.Tennessee (GA, At Bama, At Notre Dame, all in the next month)
    9.Miami (GT, At VT, VA)
    10.Cal (UCLA, At USC)

Best case scenario! LSU runs the table, beating:
Vanderbilt --- No AP votes --- moves to #10 w/luck
    Florida ------ AP # 13 --- moves to #8 w/luck
    Auburn ------AP # 22 --- moves to #7 w/luck
    North Texas
    Apple St
Alabama -----AP #7, probably #4 or #5 and 9-0 when we play there
LSU will probably be #7 at best with one loss when we play Bama.
    Miss
    Ark
    GA/Tn/Fla in the SECCG!

Yeah, a Sugar Bowl in Tiger Stadium looks like a "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow now.

Why is a 3-1 Ohio State and Miami above Alabama and Cal? While I can understand maybe Cal but Bama beat Florida who was what number 5 or 6 in their poll last week. Miami has beat no one this year. The Harris Poll is biased because of the AP Poll. The people voting in this poll can not fathom that a team is better just because they started lower in the AP. Give me one reason why Ohio State would beat Bama. I can't think of one. Ohio State's defense is good but so is Bama's. I would have to give Bama's offense the advantage over OSU. Kyle Wright at Miami has a lot of promise but has not played consistently and Miami should have lost to Clemson. I hate Bama as much as anyone but come on. Nebraska in the top 25. What a joke they are pathetic. Obviously no one has seen them play.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. The way the two teams are playing right now, one could make a good argument that Notre Dame is a better team. I was just commenting on how fast ND jumped after just two wins and how little they fell after a loss compared to LSU.

nope not gonna happen. PSU coming off a huge win and a young inexperienced team. my joepa train ends this weekend and their undfeated record. still a nice start for him.

also, how does charlie weis keep beating or playing close to team such as MSU with far better talent? they have no defense and destroyed purdue in a much needed win in their home stadium. sadly as far above their head theyve been playing, when USC absolutely destroys them it will look better than it actually is due to ND overrated. their defense is really full of holes especially in their secondary.

weis is a freaking genius. brady quinn looks like tom brady and the pats offense marching down the field. what happens when he gets his talent there like the old nd teams. luck of the irish and they luck out getting this coach. as much as i hate ND i find myself rooting for weis and co. hes just one of those special dudes.

i had bama this weekend but i certainly didnt think itd be that easy.
